Its native token is the XRP, a currency token which is the 5th largest crypto asset by market cap. Since 2012, the XRPL has enabled over 2.6B transactions without interruption. Fast transactions and low cost, in addition to a set of native primitives such as escrow, checks, NFTs, a native DEX and Automated Market Making, put the XRPL in a unique position to solve real-world issues efficiently.

As a Senior Application Developer, you will learn the ropes of designing, crafting, and maintaining tools tailored for the XRP Ledger infrastructure. Guided by experienced mentors, you’ll collaborate with team members to hone your skills and contribute to high impact projects meeting the highest standards, helping us in our mission to encourage the broader adoption of XRPL.

Responsibilities

‍

• Design and develop robust, scalable applications
• Collaborate with other team members to ideate and deliver solutions that resonate with the target audience
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, reliability, and scalability
• Conduct tests to ensure the responsiveness and efficiency of applications
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology and help educate other team members and third-party developers on the benefits and use cases of the XRPL
• Participate in feedback sessions, code reviews and team meetings to continuously refine the development process
• Share insights and knowledge with peers to foster a collaborative learning environment

Requirements

‍

• Degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field 
• Foundational knowledge of programming languages and application design 
• Passion for technology, especially in the blockchain domain
• Analytical mindset with an emphasis on problem solving
• A proactive approach to teamwork
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with XRP Ledger tools such as rippled, xrpl.org, and XRPL SDKs
• Exposure to blockchain technologies
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
