IXH24 - Italian XRPL Hackathon 2024
IXH24 is a national hackathon with a focus on cryptography and blockchain. This three-day event will feature a mix of insightful seminars, engaging discussions, and significant hands-on experience. It is jointly organized by XRPL Commons, a leading blockchain community, and De Componendis Cifris, the Italian association of cryptography, and Roma Tre University.
Over three days, participants will immerse themselves in a blend of expert-led seminars, dynamic panel discussions, and hands-on project development.
Co-organized by XRPL Commons, a prominent blockchain community, De Componendis Cifris, Italy's leading cryptography association, and Roma Tre University, this event offers a unique platform for developers, cryptographers, and enthusiasts to collaborate, learn, and create cutting-edge solutions that address real-world challenges using blockchain technology.
For additional details, you can visit De Componendis Cifris' event page here.
Participants in the “Positive Impact, AI & Blockchain” Hackathon 2024 are encouraged to channel their innovative prowess into the following thematic areas:
Reinventing insurance
Challenge: Traditional insurance models are often inefficient, plagued by lack of transparency, delayed claims processes, and high operational costs. This leads to a trust deficit between insurers and policyholders.
Identity management
Challenge: In the digital age, identity theft and data breaches are rampant, posing significant risks to individuals and organizations. Traditional identity management systems are centralized, making them vulnerable to attacks and privacy breaches.
ESG Data Collection
Challenge: Accurate and transparent Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data collection is challenging. Companies often struggle with data integrity, verification, and reporting, leading to skepticism about the authenticity of their ESG claims.
Real-Estate Transactions
Challenge: Traditional financial systems are often restricted by geographical boundaries, have high entry barriers, and are subject to centralized control and regulation. This limits accessibility and innovation in financial services, especially for unbanked and underbanked populations.
Participants in the “IXH24 - Italian XRPL Hackathon 2024” are encouraged to channel their innovative prowess into the following thematic areas:
Track 1: Cryptography for blockchain
Projects under this track must clearly apply cryptographic techniques to solve the challenge. These can include, but are not limited to, encryption algorithms, zero-knowledge proofs, digital signatures, or other privacy-enhancing technologies.
Track 2: XRPL applications
Projects must involve the XRP Ledger in some way, whether through integrations, apps, or decentralized finance. Creativity and innovation in utilizing XRPL to solve the challenge will be highly encouraged.
Participants in the “Blockchain for Impact: Innovating the Social Economy” Hackathon are encouraged to channel their innovative ideas into the following thematic areas:
Track 1: ESG Impact & DeFi
Design decentralized finance solutions that drive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, creating transparent, sustainable financial systems that empower communities and foster positive social impact.
Track 2: Gamified Social Impact
Leverage gamification to build engaging solutions that inspire social change, where users can actively participate in addressing global challenges through interactive, community-driven platforms.
